Seeds was created as part of an audio-visual project produced by Chelsey Gillard, associate director at The Other Room (Cardiff). The title refers to Sarah Kane, who wrote her play Blasted in reaction to the Bosnian war. She said: "I do think the seeds of full-scale war can always be found in peace-time civilization."
Seeds was made in the Oasis refugee centre in Cardiff, giving a voice to people who left their homes to find safety and new hope. Their stories, recorded by Chelsey after drama and English lessons at the refugee centre, are immensely powerful. Find the whole project here.
